another elel fan question??

i have a previous post here that was answered about and ele. fan install, thanks all who answered.

my next question just can to me as i was lookin at the task ahead. where and how is the i/c res. tank moved. its mounted to the fan shroud and i want that gone to clean things up in there but i doubt the tank would be very happy just floating there, if any pics or procedures for the remount it's must appreciated..

Hey Jim
You may want to re-consider removing the shroud, I installed my electric fan this past weekend, it is a 16 inch hayden unit that I mounted to the shroud and my L even here in south Fla. stays cool. My understanding is that if you remove the shroud the fan does not pull as effectively as the shroud acts as a type of funnel especially if you are in trafic

Here is a pic of what you want to do, I have JDM fan kit, but I am sure you caould design something very similar yourself. Yake a look at this pic, it should give you a Idea of what your fan should look like. Not it uses the factory shroud.

thanks for the replies, in my case i dont think that keeping the shroud will work, i have two 14" ele. fans going in and in turn there is no room for the shroud, i have seen a couple L's with the shroud removed just looking for the relocation procedures...
thanks
