Alex Zanardi

This thread/post is in no way an atempt to make light of the horrific tragedy of last Tuesday.

During the CART race in Germany, Alex Zanardi's car was t-boned by Alex Tagliani at almost 200 mph. Subsequently, Alex was taken for immediate surgery and, unfortunately, ended up having both legs amputated. More news Here

Out of respect of Alex's driving ability, I took a little trip to Mo Nunn's HQ and left a couple of tribute 'markers.'

BEST WISHES ALEX!

Hey Bob

It was sure some more sad news when I heard of his accident. I am sure he will appreciate your tribute, since that was his trademark after winning a race.

I wish both him, and his family the best in the futere.

Got the bad news last night from a friend. One of my favorite drivers, not to mention a fellow Italian. Looks like from the footage he lost control when upshifting on cold tires. At least he got to leave his mark with 2 champs. in CART. Would've been good competition in F1 for Schumi if he had the same equipment. I'm sure if he sees the donuts it'll bring a smile to his face.

This is truely a loss of the cart raceing, thank god his is still with us but none the less my heart gose out to him, I some what understand what he is going through. Alex Best to you.

Unhappy Horrible Week

When I heard of Alex Zanardi I was devestated because he was an awesome driver with a lot of years ahead of him in the CART racing circuit.

I also learned last night that a friend of mine got stabbed six times by his step brother over some pitty arguement. He is OK and in good condition. The knife missed his lung by a 1/2 an inch!!! When I talked to him today he was in good spirits and was pissed that he couldn't smoke a cigarette!!!!

This week has been full of tragedy for me, and I am taking it one day at a time.
