Exhaust Tips

I bought a set of Harley Davidson exhaust tips. I was going to have them rechromed and use them when I installed the Magnaflow muffler. The HD tips are 3.5 " in diameter and the L tips are 3.0" in diameter. I am concerned about causing heat damage to the fiberglass skirt using the larger tips. Any thoughts? Thanks.

The Bassani tips are also 3.5" I do believe. You should be fine.

Good idea!!!

On my Bassani Cat-Back System i measured the tips and they were 4 inches. No damage to my side ground effects. They look awesome becasue they are stainless and they make the stock tips look like tooth picks. And the sound is just plain awesome.

How much are the Harley tips? I really want a set, but can't afford BA bolt's polished tips

I got mine from a friend who didn't like the way they looked on his HD supercrew.$40!!Btw he loves the way they look on my L!Karkraft sells 'em for $129.They really look sharp on the L's,fills the opening in the ground fx better than stock. Also have mine adjusted so they stick out about 1" more than the stock tips. They also provide a little exhaust tone.
