Ok buddy. Pull over, put yourself in a half-nelson and wait for the local authorities.

What was your top speed?

Forgot to change the odometer to digital readout and the analog stops at 140.

Those must have been some mighty tasty donuts you were going for at mach1....if the police would have stopped you you could always shared the "donuts" with them....nice "boonies" run.

It was actually just inside the NC border. About 3.5 miles of flat straight away. But you're right about Chesapeake backroads, they suck.

Georgia_Moon, nothin' but the best fat pills, Dunkin Donuts.

Hey 4D THNDR,

I bet they were still hot by the time you got home 'cause you didn't have time to eat them on the way back, right?

Looks like Scotty installed the tri-lithium crystals in time for your request for warp speed.

I guess if you were to hit a deer at that speed you would have a mouth full of venison to go with the donuts. Nothing like a good dose of protein to go with the carbs and the fat.

Nice truck and funny story but I don't like street racing, too dangerous.

Lightbulb

Agreed Daveman, but it was early a.m. and venison was about the only threat on the road.

4D THNDR:

I find it very curious that you did not tell us WHAT kind of donuts you were after....certain kinds of donuts have different SPEED RATINGS....I think that the ordinary non-jelly filled are worth maby
70 mph....but if your stroking at ~140 then these have to be VERY SPECIAL donuts.....are these available in Georgia ?

Yo,
Let me guess, a variety dozen!

I don't know what kind of donuts would justisfy that kind of speed but I know my wife will go to all sorts of extreme measures for a fresh HOT glazed one, or is it three.

My personal favorite is chocolate covered glazed, not heated, and both mine and the wife's favorites are from Krispy Kreme. Only in moderation though, one dozen at a time. I can eat three without even blinking and then I'm done. After that I have to take a nap, you know sugar shock, not to mention my system trying to figure out what to do with the crisco.
