Hey Liquid
It seams that all the lightnings get oil in the intake. If tou look at the rubber intake tube there are 3 tubes that attach to the bottom of the tube. One of them is part of the PCV system and goes to the drivers side valve cover. I beleive the oil come from there.

The way to get rid of it, is to get a breather cap, and a chip programed for it. The breather goes on the oil fill tube.

Is that a factory part.... ??? Do you have a part#... along with cost.....???

Do you have to install a chip.... just to compensate for the breather cap...???

oil in throttle body

I to have had oil in there, Heck when i went to install my Single Blade it actually RAN OUT!! So i have been monitoring this closely,,, This is what i have done so far,, Got the ford racing breather cap. $18.00 and i took OFF the vent tube from the drivers side valve cover and PLUGGED it. The truck seems to run fine,, have NOT thrown a code, however i Still have taken the boot off and with a very clean rag wiped out around T.B. and top off boot, i hope this cleans up pretty soon! These i.c.'s must be so insulated with oil its amazing they run as good as they do,, Truck is oo jdm electric fan, 52xx miles

You will only set of the SES Light if you do a LOT of stop and ge driving. In normal every day driving you will be all set.

Another option would be to remove the driver's side 'straw', replace it with a filter, and cap the TB boot.

drove it without electronic enhancement for some time and no service light illuminated.

all parts cost less than $25.00.

I got mine from Jim when I got a chip. I think there might be a part number on the box, gotta check.

Attached is a pic on my truck. Jim @ JDM can do the reprogam to prevent the lean code. You can also buy the breather from him.

had ford chrome breather cap on 2000L cause of the oil in the
throttle body had chip reburn to use it.

2001L mod the factory air box ram some fresh air into box
guess what oil in rubber boot 2000 easy miles on truck.
still had the ford chrome breather cap and installed on 2001L
no chip have driven 60 miles no check engine light every thing fine
