Ok when i started tricking out my baby the end of the line was penciled in with NOS. I am getting the custom flipchip, im upping the intercooler's power bc a 2 or 3lbs pulley is in line and detonation is not an option. NOS is last so that it should all come together. Now my friends have told me for a while that a S/C and NOS is asking TOO much from a 5.4 engine. I've read many happy people's tales of NOS on their L's and i have yet to find a person that burned a piston ring or torched their headers. IS THIS SAFE TO DO??? I want to toss on NOS, but if my engine ups and pops i think that my financial fears will manifest in about .05secs. If there is any risk of F*ing my my truck with a light 75-100 shot will adding a water injection aid or worsen the problem bc i've found alot of success with H2O in others cars. However, i will admit that this is my first S/Ced engine..... and i love it

Well, we've got a lot of nitrous tuning under our belt, and you can run the combination that you describe. I personally don't feel that any other chip brands have good nitrous programs, and neither do the guys that call me for help when they puke thier motors. The mechanical stuff is all fine to run. I've got many customers running pulleys with nitrous, as well as all the other bolt ons. I really don't recommend you run the NOS dry system either. I get a lot of calls for nitrous help, and there are three types of calls I get when guys nuke the motor- 1. pulled a Rambo and did 150+ shots, 2. used somebody elses chip, 3. was running a dry system.
