1/4 Mile Times

Went to New England Dragway on Wednesday night, their were 6 Lightnings there, two silver (including mine), two black, and two red. All were 2001's except for one red, i think. Anyway here is my best time:

60'.....2.105
1/4.....13.861
MPH.....99.52

The truck is 100% stock so I am happy with the time. All Lightinings there were running in the high 13's with a couple running low 13's.

I just raced mine for the first time this wed. and I must say, I am addicted. I raced mine at speedworld motorplex in Phoenix AZ. I ran my best time on my second pass, which was probably luck considering I have never done this before. After that, the truck kept getting slower and slower. I let it rest for a while until night time but that still wasn't enough. Anyway, here were my times which I was not happy about.

60' 2.2
1/4 14.410 @ 97mph
1.1 reaction time
90-95 degrees with about 40% humidity

I plan to go out again and let my truck cool down before I start racing it. Hopefully I can post better times in the future.

Daver716:
Im in Massachusetts, the temp was in the lower 70's, The first time I ran it was like 97 and humid, my best time was a 14.330. The temp plays a major factor in these trucks. I'm going back in late October and I think I can improve my times, if i can get 60' of like 2.0 or 1.9 I can probably run 13.5's to 13.7's.

Hey dave,

Was that you in the other white lightning on wed. Anyway, about tonight, I am intrested in going out there. I think that I can improve my time If I don't make as many passes. I am looking forward to running below 14's. I will post If I am going to go to the track for sure or not a little later on today. Check back at about 3:00 or so.

Laters,

Hey jeff2001silver,

That was myself and Mxracer running the low 13's. He was in the 2000 silver L, he ran a 13.05 and I ran a 13.10. We have a little first to 12's bet going on along with John893 and its starting to get heated, lots of trash talking going on, mostly from MXracer
If we can only get our 60' times below 2.0 we'll be right there. Hopefully next Weds we can settle this once and for all.

He Don, you might want to call them up, it's pretty wet out there.

Probie....yours is black with the 2000 chrome wheels right. Yeah i saw your 13.10 run. There is someone posting on NLOC that said he was there earlyer in the day running 1.899 60' on F1's. I didn't think the track was in that good of shape that night. Case in point my second run of the night at like 8:30 I tried to go for a really hard launch and wound up spinning the tires all the way through first and running a 14.818 with a 60' of 2.681. Anyway are sub 2 second 60' times really possible on F1's?
