webmaster: search broken?

is the search function not working right now? All I get is a blank page after entering my search text and pressing the button to start the search.

Im looking for a post that I saw a few weeks ago about someone that had a custom superchip tuned where the mph that the truck would shift at were changed. Not that any of these tuners can't do this too, but I'm just looking for the exact speeds he had listed on his chip. The only one I remember was the 3-4 shift was changed to be 55mph (instead of 40). If anyone has the link to that post that would be great.

Thanks, Mike

wildcards are the problem

Doug,

It appears to be that using the asterisk as a wildcard causes the problem. If I don't use any wildcards, the search goes through, but as soon as I use the "*", the search just ends up at a blank page.

hmmm...

Actually, it seems to be more complicated than that. It seems as though it only happens when searching for multiple words, with one of those words using a wildcard. It also seems like it may have to do with how many results it finds that may cause it to return the blank page.
The following searches return a blank page for me:
"superchip* dealer"
"superchip* lightning"

But, "superchip* tuner" works just fine. Strange

The * is redundant in this case.

If you search for chip it will find the 4 letters chip in any combination. If you search for chip and tuner it will find tuner and chip in any combination including as parts of other words.

The search does require a minimum of 3 or 4 lettters. I believe that is to keep the load of a wildcard search for 2 letter combinations from wearing on the server
