Lightning bed box question(s)
Lightning bed box question(s)
Hello,
I am new to the site and glad to have found it.
But first, i want to add my sentiments of sorrow and shock over the recent events...puts it all into perspective.
I just purchased a 2001 Lightning (on Monday).
I am looking for a bed box or tool box, whatever you call it...that will fit at or below the rail line (not over the top).
I also plan to move motocylces from time to time and need a box that is strong enough to have the front of the bike pulled against with out bending/buckling.
I would like it to be black and fit tightly sode to side, with little or no gap ( isuppose i will have to move the cargo cleats)...finally i am worried about the clearance of the box at the front edges of the whell wells......
I have seen the standard diamond plate aluminum ones...but am worried it is no strong enough...and also worried about the fit...
Does anyone make a box for the flareside bed that is strong enough for my use????
thanks for the help and a great site.
