Talking Thanks JDM

Jim
Just wanted to thank you again for your help this past year.We ran at Cordova,I think the correct altitude was about 4700 feet,Reality1 would know for sure he's the pilot. But had three good solid runs.
12.56 @ 108.13
12.59 @ 108.59
12.62 @ 107.64
I ran all three runs staged deep so I could have had lower et's.
This is a great improvement over just the past 4 months, looking for more goodies. The traction bars are great , holding the truck nice and solid,no wheel hop, just a good solid ride, they even make driving on the street smoother by absorbing the shift shock into the frame and not just the rearend....Again thanks, all good things take time...I'll try and be more patient, from the folks at ILLNESS you indeed have our thanks!

Ain't it a shame!!!!! Really hard to believe something like yesterday could happen...If your stuck there I'll come get you,I'm serious...You give me a call I know the way..

On a more cheerful note I really think the only missing part or your puzzle is the chip.I know (watch this thread will get closed as well)I think the JDm chip would give you the lockup in your converter like you need.I also think the thought and time that is put in the chip is second to none,it's not just a guess as to what you need,it's dead on....you can see what it did for me,and has done it all year long....Call Jim @ JDM,tell him you want the ILLNESS discount, lol.I'm gonna call for a mild chip for the winter..

Call Me when ya get back

Thanks for the positive comments, yep I think I have nearly every mod possible, but surprisingly the truck is very streetable, and a good daily driver, although I don't drive it except to and from our local strip.I haven't heard about the new supercharger, guess I should do a search, lol. My only concern at the present time is I'm spinning that blower at about 16,000 rpm's,but I use the powercooler made by JL and ice the engine so I'm playing it as safe as possible...

I see your from Kansas, did you get to WFC???? You have to mark that date on your callendar next year,it was a great event.Let me know what kind of info and where I might find it on the new supercharger.
Thanks
Jerry

Looks like you have quite a combination of parts. It seems that you have quite a few vendors to thank for your times.

What was your 60' times? Just curious, why all the suspension modifications? I ran a 12.27 with a 1.66 60' w/ absolutely no suspension mods. Just curious because I'm thinking about installing JL's new suspension kit he will be putting together for a better stance and hopefully more consistant 60' 's.

Thanks Doug,
You do a great job as the moderator,a thankless job, but somebody gotta do it , and you do it well.

I like to look at the board as a forum for exchanging positive information, and in the rare instance as happened yesterday,it gave some of us an outlet for our concerns.and care for our country.

Many Thanks
jerry

You'd probably have to go down to Carrollton, TX and take over the f150 online compound!

99svtlightning,
As far as suspension mods I have traction bars, that's it.My normal 60' times are 1.70's but in deep staging as you know your 60' times are a bit slower.Your et is very impressive,I think your running at or near sea level, and I don't know what temperature or humidity your times were run in, but I do know with our temp and humidity we were running at about the equvilant of 4700',so I'm sure they could have been low 12's in your air and at the temp you normally run in .

You may want to consider traction bars, just ask Johnny Lightning how many driveshafts he's gone thru. It's not a question of traction, it's a matter of stabilizing the rearend of your truck to prevent axel warp....You have some great times, looking to see ya at WFC next year.

J Man,

My best time was at 85 degree's and 90% humidity. Not very good weather. I'm sure I'll get some better times when it cools down a bit and the humidity moves out. I'm going to the track tonight to find out. I'm about +-700feet above sea level.
