You may run neck and neck, who knows. I think it depends on the driver

Thats kinda a shot in the dark there.

What kind of blower does he have on it?

if it was a saleen style eaton roots type blower, I would imagine you could take him if your 01 STOCK L ran pretty quick.

If he has a Larger blower like a S-trim, I wouldn't even waste your time with him, cause you would get wacked hard! (Keep in mind that there allot more mods he would have to do with a larger S-trim blower to get it to run as max boost, fuel deliery, air delivery, CPU).

I would try and find out what his car runs before you race him.

Figure a well tuned 4.6 GT mustang with a vortech S-trim blower is going to run fast. My buddies 302 mustang went 10.20's with a S-trim, but the car was setup for drag racing.

I would think it would run anywhere from a 11.50 to a 12.50, in street trim.

What KILLA said. He could have a nice setup and whoop you bad, or he could have a mediocre blower setup and you'd get him. Might see if he'll let you look under the hood

Whatever the turnout, at least you're running another Ford.

I get to see what a T-Trim does for a 318

fwiw, A buddy down here has a blown 4.6, with almost every bolt on... I think hes pushing 9PSI, with a NOVI 2000... Hes still workiing on tuning it... but, last I remember, he ran a 12.99@108.... spinning really bad...

all this talk about blowers has me excited... I should get the T-Trim in about 2-3 weeks.. (custom kit)

T-Trim is a race blower.. supposed to push 12-14PSI as it ships... I sold the powerdyne...

anyways, I think you should be close man...

Cool

IMO You'll blow him off the line, and he'll reel you in about 80.

Wait hold on guys!!!

A S-trim is one of the smaller blower that vortech makes. around 10 to 15 PSI.

Then comes the T-trim, anywhere from 15 to 25 PSI. COOLVA, thats a bad *** blower, you'll make allot more boost then that brother.

Then the YS-trim (same as Novi 2000), thats the blower I want to do on my Lightning. They can pump out 30PSI and 1000hp. My friends get 28 PSI with a 306 4 bolt main fully ported and polished motor, and no cog belt either.

Then the badass mondo blower, I don't even know the PSI. But I know the Pro 5.0 cars use them.

there's one blower below the s-trim, I think the VJ-trim. maybe or not, not sure.

Allot of my buddies are mustang renegade guys, but non of them run a 4.6 motor. I'm really the only modular motor guy in the group!
