Thumbs up Northwest Lightnings

Time for the Northwest boys to check your calendars for an open day to play. Check out Woodburns schedule for the remaining race dates. Our good weather is going away fast. How about one last big gathering before the rain comes?

Side note.

Would anyone be interested in renting the drag strip for a day? If we could get 8-10 trucks the cost would be very reasonable. If there is enough interest I will nail down the exact details. It would have to be during the week. All weekend dates are booked. Take a hookie day at work and come play at they track.

Define "reasonable". Under $100? I'd drive to OR for a track all to ourselves. With a week's notice I can get any week day off.

The "unofficial" price I was quoted was $1000 for the day (10-4). What they were not sure of was how rigs they would let in. I told them maybe 8-10-12 somewhere in there. So if we got 10 that's a $100 each. If some people show for real interest i will pursue it. I would want payment before the track day. I don't want to get stuck holding the bag.

Still waiting for the new pulley and chip, but I'm game for a trip to the track. I don't know about a weekday though, since that would be pretty difficult to plan a class out for.

Spoon,
Just call it a "field trip". LOL.

I would like to do at least one more regular ET weekend, and maybe try and do the rental as well. Have to have a real 12.xx before bad weather comes our way.

Get it under $150 and you can count me in. This is a 1/4 mile track, right?

1/4 mi NHRA certified track. Not bad either. I am sure we would be on our own for any prep and VHT.
