Stillen Rollpan - Dissapointment

Indeed a huge dissapointment as the Stillen roll pan will in no way match the end caps nicely. Don't waste your time if you are thinking about doing it.....might be ok on a supercrew though. As an update, i called sir michaels again today but to no avail......the wait is still 6 to 8 months.

Anyone have a different rollpan with pics possibly.....My truck is at the body shop getting the hood, and trenz grill installed among other things. How does the lund pan look?

Thanks
Anthony

I am in the same boat. Need a good looking pan with caps. The Lund is a center piece only. Does not cover the caps. I am considering shaving that portion off. Just make it a smooth transition around the back.

My Truck is in the shop right now having a Lund Roll Pan installed with a hidden hitch and license flip down. The story on Sir Michaels is that the company that made the end caps went out of business and when they moved out of the building, they left the moulds for the end caps there. The next renter came in and threw out all the "trash" including the moulds. I don't understand why someone hasn't fabricated new moulds by now. There was a company near Safty Harbor, Fl that had some moulds but they are out of business and no one knows where the moulds went! Anyway, I went with Lund and I am having the black vinyl pieces on the back of the truck painted with flex Oxford White and I will post the pictures. Sir Michaels is what I wanted but I don't think it is going to happen. If it does, then I am only out a little over $100 for the Lund and will still do the Sir thing!

My body shop wants 600 - 800 dollars to custom fabricate the end caps for the sir michaels pan. I don't know if it is really worth it.

How does the lund pan look in your guys opinion? Anyone have a part number for it?

Thanks
Anthony

Cool

NOSTROMO, I don't think the Lund pan will look near as good as the Sir Michaels but I got tired of waiting. I got the Lund pan and accesories from Autobahn. Ask for a guy named Jason, he will remember my truck and the ordeal we went through trying to get the Sir thing.

Cool

JL has the Lund rollpan on his Lightning... I think it actually looks pretty good. Of course I still like the look of the Sir Michaels rollpan w/ the end caps better; but if its not available then the Lund rollpan would be my choice for next best. I am planning on getting one in the near future, and I think when I do, I will have the plastic rear steps painted to match...should make the rollpan blend in better.

Maybe if JL reads this post he will post a pic so everyone can see...

That looks sweet. I bet it would look evem better if you painted the top black to match the side moldings.

Thanks for the pics.

Not bad at all. Looks like a great option until the Sir Michaels is ready. Cool to see it in silver too. Thanks for the pics.
