Callin' Spiro........
Callin' Spiro........
I think I remember seeing a pic of your eng. compartment many moons ago. Didn't you remove the black plastic 'cover' that is mounted over the top of the radiator(and has the fed. decals on it)? As I recall, you did it to get more outside air flowing in to the filter.
My question is; how did you get those 'pins' or 'screws'(that hold the cover on) loose? They just spin when I try to unscrew them and I didn't want to just 'pry' them up unless that's the only way to get them out and the cover off.
Thanks in advance.......'ppreciate your help,
Dan

Those little plastic screws strip the moment you put too much force on them. I had to "pull up" on the cover while unscrewing, it worked, but took a little bit of time.
For replacements, go to LOWE's in the hardware section. They have better plastic "pins" as replacements. They look the same, but they will not need a screwdriver to remove, they simply pull right out. And when seated all the way down, they hold the cover better than before. Hope this helps.

LIGHTNINROD ,
You don't even have to use a screw driver to remove those clips. All you have to do is find a tool with a fine point and ply up on the clip and they should pop right out.
To put the clips back in, all you have to do is push on them and they clip right in.

Pushing the clips in will only strip the threads off.
morrisc,
No window switch. I was activating the system with the WOT micro switch. For the best possible ET's out of these heavy BEASTS, you WILL need to activate off the line.
With a 100 shot, your ok. With a 150 shot........you break Driveshafts
