Unhappy Sal...Anyone...What's wrong??

Hello Sal,

Have the following PSP installed:
PSP original filter kit
PSP lower pully
PSP flip chip (1.C1SD90MM.355 2.DWIGHTD)
PSP tranny valve body
90 MAF

Yesterday at cement drag strip (read--great traction), I had the following runs:

run #1---13.491@102.13, 1.995/60', 8.672@81.75 1/8th
run #2---13.406@102.58, 1.958/60', 8.605@82.07 1/8th
run #3---13.427@95.60, 1.967/60', 8.582@82.43 1/8th (Tried to not break out---but did by .003 :-()

Why are the times so slow air temp was 82F@58RH??

Second question is why no 1-2 tire burn with street tires, and at WOT (Baby Jake has Level 10 kit and lots of "scratch" 1-2 shift)??

I need better times for the Ford Fun Weekend 8-9 Sep., here at Cordova raceway. Any ideas

Thanks,

...Dwight...

Dwight, something is definitely not right there. Those times almost seem like what you would run without the chip. The chip, filter, and pulley are good for about .7-.8 on most trucks. Which program did you make the runs in? It almost sounds like the chip itself may be bad. Do you feel a difference with and without the chip? As for the shift, the FT Valve body does not shift as violent as the Level 10. It gives good, positive shifts, but not excessive. But agian, it almost sounds like the chip is not working in conjunction with the valve body. Get that chip back to me, and I'll give you a new module.

Question

Hello Sal,

I ran it with the switch "on:...the track program. I ran Wednesday night before the Valve body install and saw the following times:

13.606@100.56 1.989-60' 8.729@81.09-1/8 with switch on (track program)

13.994@98.53 2.058-60' 9.018@78.64-1/8 with switch off (street program)

I can send the chip tomorrow, but need it back by Thursday.

Thanks,

...Dwight...

Dwight, I checked your program, nothing wrong there, that's a potent program. Something has to be wrong, were the chip is not communicating with the truck. You say you need it for Thursday? Well, if you send it out Tues, and I get it (hopefully) Wed, then I gotta overnight it for you to get it back for Thursday (hopefully), that's a pretty big gamble. I'll do what I can for sure, but you know how these delivery services are.
