Angry Kinda caught rice with the hitch today...

...after cruisin around, I decided to pick up some Krispy Kreme doughnuts...after waiting in the drive thru for about 10 minutes I felt the L surge a few inches fwd.

At first I thought the engine surged causing the L to move fwd. Then I looked in the rear view and noticed the girlfriend had both hands over her face and the guy had this blank look on his face...mouth was slightly open. So I get out to see if there was any damage to the L. As soon as I get there, the kid throws his Civic in reverse.....<crack>..... and takes off (probably thought I was going to kick some butt)

I was going to go after him but ended up laughing my *** off. I had a little scratch on the ball of my hitch. But that's not why I was laughing. The guy had hooked his front bumper/spoiler on to the hitch. and ripped part of it off when he backed up.

Too bad I didn't have my camera.

Andy

You should have that bumper piece mounted and hanging in your garage. Call it "Left Over Rice" trophy.
Very funny story!

I guess that counts as a kill?

Yes, I agree! That should count as a 'kill'. However, now that the kid has a new air intake source, he probably thinks it added 80 horsepower to that rice machine! Next thing you know, they'll all be bumping into us!

Glad you guys got a laugh out of my story. If that lic plate got pulled off I would have taken the whole thing home and taken pictures. It would have ended up as one of those "priceless" photos.

You should install the bumper on the L and make a Ricening. That with some chinese writing and altezza lights will probably drop you into the 10's. lol
