Bought another Lightning.... Mods?

I just picked up another Lightning; bone stock. It's been years since I had my last one! I'm trying to recall the mods that I did but I remember doing it pretty inexpensive. I did the following:

1. 4# pulley and belt
2. Tune (I think it was just a chip?)
3. Catback exhaust
4. Some valve body/trans pieces

4# pulley still a good one to go with that's not too aggressive? I remember 6# seemed to be pushing it. I'll run 91 Octane. And where/what is the best place for a chip/tune? I see some hand held programmers ($400 or so) and my local shop does a Tune for $450, but I recall buying a chip for $200 maybe? In fact, I believe it was a used chip that was from a truck with my same mods.

Is there another/better Forum now for Lightnings or is this still the one?

Lightning mods

Go to www.svtlightnings.com and nhtoc , i believe they also have a lightning section. I had an 02 Harley Davidson f150 with these mods. 4lb pulley with a diablosport chip $250 if i remember correctly, valve body ,Kn cai , it dyno at 343hp at 4800rpm and 422lbs of torque at 3600rpm. I had a close race so i decided to go with the 6lb pulley . It dynoed at 370hp at 4800 and 472lbs of torque at 3600rpm. The Lightning should put out 15 to 20 more hp with these mods since it has 2lb pullery more than the HD.

Good info! Thanks. I'll check out the site. Looks like the pully is $200 and the tuner is $400. I'll have to see what other options there are too.

Dan! What's going on? I thought of you when i was on the hunt for another L. We had so good times drinking a few beers and working on the trucks!

Can't believe you still have yours all these years later. I definitely need to hear about it!

Shoot me a PM when you're free with your email. Would be good to catch up.
