help with chip and poping when shifting

help with chip and poping when shifting

sometimes when my truck shifts it makes a loud *** crack noise and i usually loose boost, anyone know why?? one time it revvedto 6000 rpm!!! ouch....jl pulley, jl powercooler, psp 4way, et streets, synthetics

Matt, can you be more specific? When does it do this? Which program? What exactly do you mean by a "crack" noise?

when i flip it to #2 setting and nail it at about 25, it downshifts, then when it shifts up the exaust makes a loud loud loud noise then no boost

Ok Matt, now I know what you are talking about. I just have to change something in the calibration to fix that, easy enough. I'll work on it over the weekend, and let you know.

what is it??? should i take the chip out or can i go to the track?? it seems to have no rev limiter too??

Matt , you can use it. The PCM actually has an entire different shift schedule for if you are already rolling and you go WOT. That is what needs to be adjusted. That is why is does it when you are doing 25mph and nail it, but not when you go WOT from a stand still. Sigh, some of these Ford calibrators give me headaches

hehe, i cant go WOT from a stop, it will go up in smoke...
