cux2 L with Diablo chip,6000=no power?
First let me start , by saying "I did a search" and I did find some advice and read many of post dealing with this matter. However, I still do not have a real answer.
My Blk 00 L has 6000 miles or so (Purch. from OC Welch in SC, leftover) which I have put on. So here is the deal; I have put 57 miles with the chip inst. and when I proceed to do a brake stand, tac. about 1500 or so let off, my tires spin (not a lot) and when my tac. gets to 5400 it goes to 6000 , the loss of power , goes into 2nd but with no *****. Do I need a chip reburn? Or is the chip still "learning"?
Everything else seems to compare to what other L owners have exp. As far as I can tell, no other problems. This is a stock 00L with a K&N.
Thanx to all who reply;

Sounds to me like you are hitting a rev. limiter and loosing boost, that is if you are loosing your power at the shift. If there is a loss of boost, you have to wait like 15 seconds or restart the engine to clear it. This is a safe gaurd for itself. Is this what is happening?
restart, meaning to turn off the engine and restart it.
You have boost all the time until you hit second gear at WOT, right?
Try unplugging the boost solenoid on the side of the blower. I think if you do a search, you will find a link that has pictures showing it.

Sounds to me that it is a timing issue in the transmission. This is all set by the tuner. Assuming this is a program that the tuner burns all the time, this problem would be rare. Most learning happens in about 100 miles and 3 or 4 starts. The motor should never get to 6000. 5400 or 5600 is plenty for stock. A transmission problem (too much rpm from not going into the next gear or shifting too late) may be turning on the rev limmiter.
Hope this helps
