Hotchkis weight data

Just put the l up and the corner weight scales and was very surprised at the results after installing the Hotchkis suspension. Plan to re-check after about 500 miles just to confirm my findinds. Fist is the weight info on the individual components, next is the weight info with the stock suspension, and last is the weights with the Hotchkis suspension. These weights were done at different times. The only variable being the fuel level. The fuel level is very close. Quick run down on the truck. Everything is onboard spare, hitch, jack, etc. Non stock items are a Snuglid bed cover at approx 120lbs. and a 1/2" thick rubber bed mat at about 60 lbs.

Ford rear leaf spring = 48lbs each
Hotchkis rear leaf springs = 36lbs each

Ford front coil spring = 14lbs each
Hotchkis front coil springs = 15lbs each

Ford rear sway bar = 9lbs
Hotchkis rea sway bar = 6lbs

Ford front sway bar = 19lbs
Hotchkis front sway bar = 16lbs

28 pound weight savings with the hotchkis package.

Truck weight info w/factory suspension:

Total weight = 4757
Front only = 2656
Rear only = 2101
F to R bias = 55.8%F / 44.2%R
L to R bias = 50.6%L / 49.4%R

Truck weight info w/Hotchkis suspension:

Total weight = 4656
Front only = 2052
Rear only = 2605
F to R bias = 44.1%F / 55.9%R
L to R bias = 49.9%L / 50.1%R

Very strange how there was an almost exact flip flop in the front to rear info. I need to re-weigh a stock truck to try and back up my original data. I was very surprised to see so much weight move to the rear. I expected some but no where near this amount.

Question

Saw the numbers it looks like they are reversed.I weighted my truck after I bought it and the first numbers are right about where mine were. The only real weight saving I can see over stock is in the springs[less sprung weight].The bars do save a little but almost nothing in sprung weight. Keep in mind this is from a road racing point.Stan

It looks like there is a 50 lb reduction at the front and rear (100 total). Assuming the Hotchkis saving is only 26lb, about 75 lb (total) is uncounted for.

I figured out my mistake. The Hotchkis F to R numbers are reversed. I was writing down the information as I deactived the two front scales thinking that I was reading the front weight.

Hotchkis F to R 2605F / 2052R

Now that makes more sense. Sorry for the confusion.

As for the unaccounted for weight reduction. I am not counting any of the differences in shocks, end links, dog bones, bushings, etc. Also the fuel level could be off a little. The two weights were done a couple of months apart.
