I do not have any investment in Haig Co. or receive any profit from any mat order. I do this only because Haig Mats will only deliver to F150OnLine Members through me. ________________________________
I have been receiving e-mails from a lot of L owners that want to order the Lightning Mats. Haig Industries does not do individual orders. They only sell to companies. Because we did a group purchase of more than 100 mats, Haig Industries will continue to make our mats.
Because I have SVT's approval to use the Lightning Logo, Haig Industries will only except an order faxed to them by me. The reason is that Ford charges mat companies $60 for the use of the logo and Haig does not want to be charged $60 an order by Ford. Haig mats costs F150OnLine members $72.00 for the Plush mats and they would have to charge an extra $60 for Ford if I did not have Ford's approval.
This is it. All the info. needed to order the Lightning custom floor mats
I want to state up-front that I do not work for or have any affiliations with the mat
manufacturer, Haig Co.
Questions Asked and Answered
How is the quality of the mats?
The mats that the price is based on is called PLUSH. The manufacturer looked at the mats in my L and said the Ford’s quality isn’t that good and that the PLUSH is a much higher grade and quality.
What does PLUSH look like?
Very similar to what is already in the L’s but better material.
Are there other materials to choose from?
Yes. There are two others, All Weather and MBZ-Velour. The All weather, trust me, you would use it under the L not in it. The Velour is another story. It is imported from Germany and it is the material that Mercedes Benz and the dealerships use for the Mercedes’ mats, shorter material but thicker and extremely plush. There is an addition charge of $25.00 to up grade to this material. A Benz dealership pays the manufacturer $105.00 for the mats (this is before their mark-up). There is now (as of 09/20/01) a matching gray to our stock color and black color for the Plush. For the Velour, there are a couple choices: black or charcoal with the color thread of your choice.
The Plush gray matches the stock mat and black.
What color of mats are there? And what about the color of the logo?
The thread color choice will be the color of the Lightning Logo.
PLUSH COLORS: BLACK and STOCK GRAY
VELOUR COLORS: CHARCOAL or BLACK
LOGO COLORS
Any color that you want: Red, White, Silver, Light Gray, Blue, Yellow, Charcoal, Black, etc.
Can the carpet go over the hump?
I am sorry, NO. The manufacturer look at the hump and did not like all the angles that were on it. They could do it but they feared that the professionalism and quality would not be there. So, they declined.
Will eyelet be in the driver’s mat?
YES, the eyelet will be there.
What type of backing will be used?
The backing will be the rubber nipples just like the mats in the L’s now.
What will the logo look like?
I have a written approval from SVT stating that we can use the Ford Lightning Logo for the mats.
Where will the logo be placed and how large?
The logo will be about 8" from the bottom of the mat, centered and it’s size will be 7" wide by approx. 2" high.
How will the mats come to me?
They will be shipped from the manufacturer by way of the Post Office to the location that you indicate.
How do I pay for the mats?

How is shipping figured?
It is based in zip code and every zip code has a different rate. And since I don’t have a clue as to where everyone lives, the shipping price is based on an average. As an example, if you live in New York your shipping fees are greater than someone living in mid-America and California is less expensive then mid-America. BUT I got California sales tax waived which saves a few dollars and makes up for the averaging. It is like Ford’s shipping fees for the Lightning. Everyone pays approx. $650 (which is on the invoice) to have the L shipped. It doesn’t make a difference if the dealership is across the street from the factory or the dealership is in Hawaii, all pay the same. This is why there is a cost of $14.50 shipping fee which is an average across the U.S. except Alaska and Canada

Do they make mats that are the same color as the original mats or do they just come in that darker grey? I also noticed that the original mats have a whole in the bottom left on the driver side for a hook to hold the mat down or in place, do the new mats have those holes? Thanks in advance.
