Question bumper question....PLEASE reply

When you look at the front of my L, there seems to be about a one and a half inch gap between the grill and the lower bumper....is this normal or is there a way to adjust this??? I tried a suggestion about a week ago someone gave me but all that did was adjust the way it was set up, i need to move it up, VERTICALY about an inch....anyone know how to do this?? thanks

I didn't think the bumper went up "vertically." I adjusted mine because one side was lower than the other.

I have that gap also, and I have seen a dozen Ls with the same thing, so I think it is normal.

It is kinda annoying, but if you have BLACK likeme, you don't notice it too often!!!

I just did this last week!
The ONLY way your gonna adjust the bumper high enough is to remove it from the truck!! There are two main bolts on each side that mount the bumper to the frame. These are held in place by thin metal "keepers". You will notice after removing the bumper that they will adjust up or down quit a bit. You have to loosen the keepers(and it is a bitch!) and move the bolt assy. on each side all the way down towards the bottom of the bumper, retighten your keepers, and reinstall bumper. This will raise it on the truck.
If you would like, email me @ studduck66@aol.com and Ill give ya my phone #. It may be easier explaing it over the phone.
You have to take alot of s*** off and loosen other things to get your bumper off. Plan on one- two hours with a friends help. Its a two person job!

LATER,
Rodney
