Thumbs up Calling easterisland

Thank you so much for the info on the overhead console. Console removed and now which is the power wire? Do not have the required tool to detemine which is "switched" on/ hot.

I could not tell from the photo what wire (color) you had spiced.

If you can tell from your original photo what is the color of the spliced power wire, it would be very helpful.

You can email me at seniorchief@hotmail.com if you want.

Again, thanks for your help, people like you make this board and the lightning community so special.

Hey seniorchief, could you please forward me the email from easterisland? OR Easterisland, could you please copy me on the email to seniorchief?

I got my detector in the mail today and will probably try this install tonight.

Thanks, guys.

I have nowhere to store pics online since f150 is off. I'll post three times each with a different pic. This is how I installed my valentine and Phasar. They have been there for only a few months, no electrical problems, 12,000 miles.
step #1 remove phillips bit from front of console

#2 press inward on clips, which are located in the rear compartment. You don't have to press too hard. There is one clip per side.

#3 I tapped into the white/blue wire for positive and black/blue for negative. (This is how I did mine, If you mess up your electrical system don't blame me.)
