manifold gasket change

Tips anyone? I have to change the manifold gasket on my 99 L. For some reason one side has started to leak. Is there any easier way than from the top? Thx, Berry

I meant to say exhaust manifold and not just manifold.

take the front wheel(s) off and fender skirt(s) out and go at them from the side(s)
