What part of central Florida? I lived in Orlando for a while (and I can't think of anything else in Central Florida <grin>).

I was just pointing out that Florida is tough about windshield tint. A 5% tint (95% transmission) won't stop the cop from seeing you, but it will sure cool off the truck...

I agree about the driver safety issue, but I've seen to many roads that the speed limit randomly changes and/or is way to low.

I actually got pulled over for 82 in a 30 in Orlando (the airport loop at 2am) I managed to get out of the ticket because I was late to pick up two deaf friends for their wedding at Disney (honest truth!)

Speed does not kill people. Sudden acceleration (positive or negative) kills people.

Coldie,

I work in Maitland and live in Winter Springs.

I agree that many speed limits are set pretty low but most of them are set by cities or other municipalities and I just have to go along with whatever the poloticians want when I am designing a road. I mainly do freeway and interchange work and leave the simple roads to teh new engineers out of college.
