Well I finally got the cut outs installed and they fit right in, just had to trim the cut outs down a bit.

For those that like the pure "holy shnikies" effect of straights, but also drive high way and don't like the drone, this is a must do.

I was just thinking the other day about why people dont do this if they like the staight pipes sound but also get sick of it after awhile....good job!

I wonder if you could make something where you could have a switch inside the cab that would open them up whenever you wanted.....I have no idea how you would do it, but it would be cool to not have to get under there and plug them up...you could just open it at a light and throw a HUGE rev....

I don't know how robust they were...or if they are still available...but I remember a diverter in the JCWhitney catalog years ago that you switxhed back and forth with a cable (like a bicycle or a lawn mower throttle) that could even be routed inside the vehicle.

Both Jeg's & Summit have exacty what you're talking about logical. A bit cheaper than the same thing he bought (judging by their catalogs). Definately better than havin' to slink under the truck and take off 3 wingnuts everytime you want the effect.

I did purchase these cut outs through Summit. They were 25 dollars a peice. And yes there are remote opening cut outs but they are quite expensive, around 250 each. And the problem with the manual activated ones is that they are 2 inch diameter with our exhaust is pulmbed with 2.5 inch pipes.
