How do you guys go about getting all the info on your trucks?

I think it's right on the door frame sticker...right?

 

You should get a Certificate from SVT that has the build date and build number on it. They send them out at the end of the production run for that year.

 

I don't think the born on date is on the door frame sticker. I got my L's date from the SVT build certificate.

SVT Certificate. You should be able to call SVT and get that info. as well. The door sticker shows what month/year it was produced.

 

Look at the very bottom of the window sticker if you have one for the build date.

 

There is nothing on the truck or in any of the paperwork that tell build number or date. You have to call SVT(1-800-FORD SVT) with the VIN to get that info. If you bought your 2000 new you should have got the certificate last Jan-Feb.

 

Hard to tell for sure if it's just the date the window sticker was printed or actual build date but there IS a date at the bottom right hand corner of my window sticker. "3 27 01" it reads. On my old '97 it read "11 26 96". Was told this was the build date on my old '97. Who knows. Like 4D THNDR said, we'll know for sure next year with the certificates.....

 

I got my date from the valve covers. I know that is not the exact date, but its a rough estimate. SVT doen't even have me on record. They said to fax them my buyer's order and they will send me the cert.

 

Its close. But the date on the valve cover is the date the engine was built.

 

The date on the window sticker is the date the computer spit out the build order. They are usually built within 2 weeks of that date.

 

The date on the door sticker gives you the month it was built. Your certificate should give you the date. I was at Ontario truck and walked mine down the line. I will have to wait and see if SVT get's my date right. he,he.

My date on the sticker is shown 1/01. The truck was built 1/17/01.
