Thumbs up Results from Englishtown, NJ--- Aug. 22

Hello all,

I was up in Englishtown and Freehold, NJ getting somemore go-fast goodies and Jim and I decided to go to Englishtown afterwards for a little test and tune session. I was very pleased with the turn out for the Lightnings last night. The air was sticky and you know how our trucks do with bad air. I ran a 13.54@104.80 and Jim ran a 12.42@109.89. I couldn't get the truck to hook at all. My 60' was a 2.39, with a MPH like that I could have been running a 12.80. I hope to improve my 60's with some ET Streets that are coming my way.

JL was at the track last night as well and I think his best time was a 12.51@109.

I had a great time with Jim and his crew at the track for some racin' and snakin'. They were very nice to me and let me hang around the shop and see what they do on a day to day basis. I can say I really appreciate what they do!!! Jim is a total perfectionist and does't stop working till is runs PERFECT.

Captain, it was very nice to meet you and I hope you see the 12s soon. Come on fall!!!!!

Looks like a great set of mods. I can see a 12 second run in your near future.

I just installed his line mod, and 4x4 pan today. Man it shifts awsome. I am getting the pulley this weekend, so I hoping to get into the 12's this weekend.

2 Fast4u: Sorry we didn,t get to talk... you did have a Good running truck. with better traction you would have for sure went low 13's maybe a 12. I couldn't hook up either my best 60 ft. was 1.87 that was launchin very easy..i wasn't planning on running another one considering how long the wait was. I put my lid back on and tailgate getting ready to leave but i figured i would try it 1 more time. The track was seriously BAD! i was sorta suprised to go that fast considering the track and a warm engine..maybe we'll get to meet someother time. good luck with your truck..

Captain O : It was very nice meeting you sorry i was kinda busy! JL

biggertick, Thats next. I actually am getting them at the end of this month.

JL, I am sorry I didn't get to talk either. I saw you in the staging lanes and we were actually in the same lane, but you were moving up when I finally saw you. The track was bad due to all the ricers that were there. They break axles when there is glue on the track.

Don C, I am sure we will be racin' together soon. I like to hit all the tracks and play. So I'll see you soon.

It was fun and it was great meeting everyone.

Noone had traction that night. MY L was bone stock and I heard spin and chirps on all my launches. I got three runs in that night. 2 of my runs were right after the 12 sec beasts. One was Jims and one was JL, talk about tire spin on the burnout, thats allot of smoke.

JL it was great meeting you, awsome runs considering track conditions.
