Exclamation Installing JL Ram Air When CLINK out falls an ULTRA WIZ!!

I was just pulling out the fender liner when I hear a clink from something dropping to the garage floor. Looking around I see this little flat piece of metal about 4 inches long and 1 inch wide and perhaps 1/4 deep. Whats really strange about it is that it has a snout that turns up 90* and thins out to a really sharp point. I noticed the registered trademark name on the other side says "Ultra Wiz". What the H$LL is it and what was it doing in my fender well? I'll try to post a picture of it later if no one knows what it is off hand. Thinking maybe they left a tool in there when they made my L.

I install JL's ram air too and removed the inner fender. I sure didn't have anything like that fall out and I can't say I even noticed anything like what you describe mounted anywhere, not that I was really looking.

It probably helps them align the inner fender while putting in the screws. ???

ultra wiz

I did a quick search and it is made by an auto glass tool company, apparently made for removing windshields. My guess is that it fell out of a holder in a repair area at the factory. Hand tools get lost/misplaced all the time in factories. We searched the whole line one night looking for a cordless drill......never found it. Somebody got a free one in their refrigerator. Usually we lose smaller items. Dave

Daveo - is right. Its used for removing the windshiel out of Ford's. Cuts the sealent from the windshield. Have several in the shop we use when removing and replacing windshields. Was yours ever replaced?, that you know of?

Ah, that solves the mystery. Yes, I had my windshield replaced last fall. Thanks for the replies. Now at least I have something to get Chees Whiz out of the jar.

I knew a guy that had an Ultra Wiz.

He could actually write his own name(first and last). address and phone # in the snow.
