Gang:
Just returned from attending the Indy Import and Truck Bash/ET Bracket Challenge at IRP with fellow F150 'poster L-Acious.
Two words best describe what I saw (not much) of the Import and truck bash....hydraulic pilaf.
RobG,
Sorry I missed you but I did hear some wooting after I layed a first-run-of-the-day Blue Oval Smack down on a C5 Vette. Was that you? Thank you if it was. What a great way to test the Diablo Chip and JL Pulley.

The reason my ET was slow and MPH even slower was I had some pinging at the top of 2nd gear and lifted to about 3/4 throttle and STILL handed Mr. Vette his ****. HEH HEH HEH.....NEXT!! Subsequent addition of four gallons of 104 remedied the ping then ran the following times:
Temp was mid 70's with a 10-15 mph crosswind. Truck was in full trim (sans only tailgate) with 25 lbs in the F1's.

Now for the not so good news. The fastest Gen 1 in the Central Indiana area (11.34 @ 117 BACKED UP) had some serious misfortune. The stock bottom end of his then Vortech enhanced, 600 hp 351 went KA-BOOM at around the 1/8th mile. Oil and parts everywhere.
He did manage to keep the truck off the wall though. Heads-up driving.
***WARNING*** Pics in following post are NOT of faint of heart and permission was given to shoot and post photos. Indentities of Ricer onlookers changed to protect their whippersnapper N'SYNC import keisters.

Bob,
I took off Saturday afternoon right before the rain hit. I guess it was a catastrophic weekend for TWO vehicles then because on Saturday some guys hooptie caught on fire as he was leaving the fairgrounds. Billowing smoke, fire truck's and a long *** line were
the result.

Ivan,
Thank goodness it wasn't my truck. Big Red is running great.
However, the Gen 1 was the unfortunate one. He is a real nice guy and was laughing and mumbling something to the effect of 408 stroker motor after they unloaded him in the pits.
