Question how do you know when your i.c. is leaking?

I have a simple question for those of you whos intercooler has leaked. How do you know when its been leaking. I've had my truck for 17 months, I have 6K miles on it, and some intercooler (green fluid) is missing. I've never refilled it myself because the truck hasn't given me any problems.
Thanks for your help.

There are HUNDREDS of threads on this subject. The search currently only goes back 2 weeks or so and there are 7 threads

To summarize them. The IC system is a closed system. if the level drops you have a leak. once it starts leaking it gets worse.

There are MANY posts about a recent "FIX" that Ford has

Yea doug,
Why does the search only go back two weeks. Sure doesn't do any good to have all this info and not be able to access it.

While Steve works on Server issues he has taken down the Index that the search is based on. So the search only goes back to the Software install. He will restore the search once the other Gremilns are cold and dead.

He has posted a couple places the details about the Search issues.
