new JET PERFORMANCE chip??
new JET PERFORMANCE chip??
I was reading the new motor trend mag and at the end in the performance section they have a little pic of the new JET performance chip for the 2001 lightning.....claims to add 28 REAR WHEEL HORSEPOWER....this claim seem reasonable or do you guys think its a little high...? Anyone have this chip??? Input would be great...
How do you know they're junk? im not trying to be pushy, im just curious...have u had one before? I had a JET chip on my 97 jeep grand cherokee and it helped out the power a lot
Chips in General
Any chip will increase power if its for the Lightning. What he is saying is that there an unsermountable number of people on these boards that have put chips in their trucks and said WOW! or WOOO HOOO! or Damn! or what ever. But the fact remains that PSP, JDM and JL chips have proven themselves to be to best out there. All you new buyers have a great oportunity to take advantage of all the research that has gone into these trucks since May of 1999 when they hit the streets.
What 1BADTK said. You can't go wrong with the big 3. If you buy the jet you will probably end up with one of the big 3's chips later after you find out it has half the performance available.
I couldn't resist, I have to throw my .02 in hear also.
The big 3, have Lightnings on there dyno's on a daily basis. And when they they turn off the lights to the dyno room and go home at night. They eat dinner, then grab the helmet and laptop and head for the race track. They are constantly improving the breed.
Jones electronics probably tuned a lightning once, put the chip on the market and then went back to what they do best. Tuning corvettes and camaros and rebuilding quadrajets or something
