I had my bassani x-pipe installed today along with straight pipes and off to the track i went.The track i went to today i always run 12.92 to 13.01 everytime in 75-82 degree air at 106mph.Today when i was racing it was 76-78 degrees the whole time and i ran a new best of 12.83 at 107.40 and backed up by a 12.87 with no cool down! I feel that this setup is the first exhaust catback that actually improved my e.t times.I was running 1 tenth faster and 1 mph faster than anytime before this in the same conditions!

How does it sound??Does it have the same effect on a Lightning as on a mustang?(higher pitch)How loud is it compared to straight pipes?Thanks

 

It sounds very mean at cruising speeds and does have that drone sound in the cab at normal speeds! At W.O.T it is very loud but i can still here the supercharger whining!!

 

How hard was the install?Also, what tips are you using?

 

My local muffler shop put it on in about 11/2 hours. I watched them and the stock system came off easy and they just had to get the right bend off of the x-pipe and mount them to my stock tips from my system and they charged me $70 for everything!
