Question Intercooler LEAK?..

I have a 1999 Lightning that has 17,500 miles on it and have no problems with the intercooler so far," knocking on wood " and is usually right on the cold fill line, but I just noticed that the level went down about 1/4 inch last night. Drove it some more and it was still low. I marked it now to see if i do have a leak. Is this a sign of a promblem?. I was hoping I had a lightning without a leak.

I would keep checking it, 1/4" may not mean anything, but I suspect you got it...they're all going to leak eventually

You gotta da leak. Just took a bit longer than average. You are very fortunate that it held off until "the fix" is available. Get that puppy into your dealer STAT.

99SVTBLACKBOLT,

You've got the leak. If it's been in the same place and suddenly started moving then it's time. Mine started leaking at about 16,500 miles. I had mine filled to the top of the letters that spell RANGE on the side of the tank. It made it easy to notice when the leak started. All total I leaked about 20 ozs. which was about 3/4 to 1 inch. I drained it down to put Water Wetter in and measured the amount of liquid it took to go from it's low point back up the top of the letters. Get it fixed early before it does cause you trouble.
