Cam bolt kits????
I've finally got off my dead butt and ordered a set of Herb's washers. In conjunction with them I want to install the adjustable cam bolts at the same time. The Napa, part number: NCP2642953, cam bolt kit it around 15 bucks... I've two questions: 1. Does the kit do just one control arm?? 2. If so, do I need to buy another kit to do the other one?? I did a search under "cam-bolt kits" and found a lengthy thread on it. After reading and re-reading it I'm still unclear whether I need to do both sides. I want to have all ducks in a row when I take the L back to the dealer for this..
I'm pretty sure you only need it for the driver's side control arm.
Now here's a question for everybody that's installed the washers. Where on the control arm did u put the washers? Positions 1,2,3,or 4? Look at the attached pic and you'll see what I'm asking.

The cam-bolt kit does both upper control arms. Only need the one kit. Herb's washers are only needed on the lower control are drivers side. There are two spots on the lower are that are slotted. Herbs washers fit into those slots. Passenger side is not slotted.
I was under the impression you needed two cam bolt kits. I thought it was in a post by RTKILLA, but I can't find any threads about cam bolts except this one. So you just get them at napa and have the dealer put them in? Any in the SF Bay Area no where I can go to have herbs and cam bolts put in, plus a good alignment? This iseally starting to confuse me.
The mechanic told me the factory bolt was not long enough on the lower control arm, (Where Herbs Washers go) so he only installed one washer!
I liked to have thrown a rod, when I went to pick up my truck and found that he only installed the washer on the nut end of the bolt
Looking at the threaded end of the bolt, the nut actually does not hide all the threads on the bolt...(looking like it's not properly torqued). I checked the nut and it was tight. Now I'm not real comfortable driving the ole Lightning, as I'm afraid something is going to come apart. Has anyone else had this problem?

I just got the kit in..... It only does one control arm. It has 2 bolts only. One for the front and one for the rear of the control arm. You'll need 2 kits to do the job.
