Has anyone installed the JL Diablo Chip with the Ram Air kit the one sold for 570.00? For the most performance which one should I get? and does anyone have any installed pics of the Ram Air kits? Or does anyone know of a better Ram Air kit or a better induction kit?

I have the stage III ram air and Diablo chip. With just those two mods I ran a 12.87 the first trip to the track. Great choice!

I have the Stage One ram air kit on a V-6. Needless to say, I'm a little disappointed with the results but hey what can you expect out of a V-6... I'm not downing JohnnyLightning or anything... Just look around see what other ppl say.... Everyone has a different opinion on everything, so will you... just read around get some info before making such a large purchase...

 

I'm not sure how much the Ram-Air kits help on the N/A motors, but with the blown L it makes a huge difference, particularly in cooler weather.

I have the JL Stage II kit and it is one of the three 'biggest bang for the buck mods' that I have done on my truck.

 

It's under 80* and low humidity here in St. Louis, and all I can say is WHOOOOAAHHH!! I wish it was Test n' Tune night at the track, cuz this beast is the strongest it's ever felt!!

When the search feature is fully operational again, there's an old post with all the pics/info on installing the ram air. I used it myself to put in all the goodies in my sig...

The question centered on a specific chip/intake combination on the ALMIGHTY S/C 5.4 TRITON, not a cold air kit (admittedly similar to the one referred to in the original post) on some anemic V6. Irrelevant, and a weak attempt at starting an "intake war" on the LIGHTNING board.

Take your complaint, whatever it is, to Johnny. Yes, I'm in a bad mood today. Thank you for asking.

I didn't start or even mean to start an intake war. I was just adding my two pennies. Isn't this a free speach site, with the exception of cursing and spamming and flamming.... True I don't have a "Almighty S/C 5.4 Triton". And also I don't have a problem with JohnnyLightning, Johhny went out of his way to make this kit for me and a few other ppl that don't have the "Almighty S/C 5.4 Triton". Johnny is a great guy... My opinion is strictly that an opinion.... one other thing my V-6 is not anemic.

So if you don't like what I have to say.... well Y2J blow it out your tail pipe.

Oh, and by the way, your wheezing little V6 is, in fact, anemic. I have a power plant of similar configuration in my 3400-pound commuter mule. Runs mid/low 17's all day. I'll bet your 4500-pound full-sized pickup really screams/hauls/tows with such a fierce prime mover.

Again, your original post added nothing to this thread, and you indeed WERE trying to stir up an "intake war". The question involved a specific chip/intake combination on a GEN2 LIGHTNING, not a cold air kit on your silly "truck".

The S/C 5.4 arrogance is a bit immature. The_Headless_Horseman offered his opinion and was upfront with the disclaimer that he is NOT running a Lightning. To me that kind of comparison info is HELPFUL in trying to figure out whether a product works or not. If EVERY review I se is positive it makes me think they are NOT real users opinions.

Silver-Y2K-SVT - Perhaps your issue should be with JL for selling anythig to other than Lightning owners.
