Is this normal???

Maybe i am just nit picking, but i want to make sure. When i am driving i can feel air hitting my right shin under the dash. With the air on it is really noticable, because it is hot air. The other thing is when i am pulling away from a light or under part throttle i hear a slight ticking which sounds like it is coming from under the driver side floor board. Almost sounds like an exhaust leak. Anyone else have any of these symptoms or a fix?

Hehehehehe.... Glad to see this happened to somebody else other than me.

Look under the dash above the pedals. There is a whole on the firewall with a rubber plug in it. You can tell it's the right one because the line for the boost gauge runs right though it.

Make sure it is in securely.

Hope that helps.

Exhaust Leaks?

2KL:

Damn right you have exhaust leaks! Crawl under the beast with a strong flashlight and inspect all of the joints, right from the cats to the tips. You'll see where the nasty, dirty water has been pouring out everywhere. Better yet, if you're feeling lucky, get up under there with the engine running and watch the water pour out of the leaks.

My 'Bolt sounded sickly (ticking, throbbing) across a variety of RPM. Drove me NUTS and I was minutes away from buying a fresh coil pack ($108.00) and going after a "miss" in the ignition.

Clear heads prevailed and I removed all of the clamps in the exhaust system, wiggled the pipes around, rammed the joints together, and torqued the clamps back down to 17 jillion foot-pounds.

The result - no leaks, no hope of ever getting the stock system off without a torch, and a MUCH improved exhaust note, to say the least. All of the sickly noises are gone.

Give it a try.

You might want to look at the firewall plug first, or something....

I've noticed also that when driving around my lower legs are always warm.

I also have the clicking sound under the hood, but mine is on the passenger side of the engine. I only noticed it after I changed my spark plugs and I got a professional opinion and they said I might not have torqued one of the spark plugs good enough. Possibly getting a small amount of blow-by causing a real annoying sound If anyone elso on here has heard of that let me knoe.

Its the rubber diaphram. If it is not in correctly air will blow thru the hole. It happened to me after they changed my intercooler. Its easy to dislodge and hard to get back in correctly.
