You Got That Right!

Ditto on the Mother's, big time. Requires a good bit of effort, but nothing works better.

Thumbs up Anyone up for a Blue Job?

Well, the stock tips are not stainless steel, they are ceramic coated. Because of that, the pourus (sp?) ceramic is very good at getting carbon trapped in it. You need something with a mild abrasive in it to scrub it clean. I've never tried the Mothers but have no doubt it would work well. When I was in the Harley business, we used to have this stuff called "Blue Job". It's a mild abrasive that removes the "bluing" from chrome pipes. I still have a can of it and that's what I used to clean my stock tips before switching to the polished Bassani stainless tips which clean very easy. You can probably buy the stuff at any good aftermarket Harley store.
