Incidentally, blue will be the rarest, if the rumors hold. As for the venomous comments regarding the white trucks, well, uh, you know.

Oh yeah - silver is currently the rarest Gen2 color.

If you add in all the Silver 01's to the 99 and 00 totals, white is gonna be the rarest G2. I know the numbers for 01 have not been published, but geez it seems that every other 01 is silver

I can start a stupid, worthless thread like this and it gets attention and response. When I start a thread that actually contains useful information or questions, they get ignored.

Just goes to show that this board is for the most part a feel good place. Which is not bad, it is good to have fun.

F150online Lightning board is the place where everyone runs 12's, never break anything, and the big three tuners/supporting vendors are GODS.

Geesh. We all need to lighten up. I thought white was the best color, and I had my pic at the lot I went to. If you think your COLOR is the best, all I can say is its America and pick what you wish. 10 years from now when half the L's are in junkyards from being totalled, they'll all be rare and you will RARELY I repeat RARELY see a cherry one on the road. And that is when they will be special.

Also, if you add them ALL up ('99, '00, and '01), silver is the rarest. Not that I really have an emotional investment in this - if it were my call they would ALL be silver. But facts are facts, and until the 2001's are built (if at all), silver is the rarest color for Gen2 Lightnings. It's just that simple.

Let me ask you this. When you see a bright flash of Lightning in the sky, what color is it. I rest my case, Lightning is White and that is the color of (my) choice. If you chose a different color that is your right. I too had a dealer with all the colors and in my opinion White was the best. That goes for the Gen 1's too, I have always liked them in white best. Do I dislike the other colors? No I just prefer white. If you think silver is the rarest color, so be it, more power to you. I have seen Lightnings in every color that people have done a lot to and they all have very good examples.

Hey John893, nice pics, but not the same L.

Just so you'll know, that is the 99 they used for the 1999 and 2000 races at the Glen. The race has a new sponsor this year, and they have a new 2001 L, with a new logo on the hood.

 

Black is for tires
White is for appliances
Silver is for spending

All Lightnings should be red. Only color that makes sense.
