X-plan through Mossy Ford
X-plan through Mossy Ford
To all of you who purchased your L through Mossy Ford in San Diego:
I'll be purchasing my L here locally soon. Mossy is the only dealer that I have heard of that accepts the x-plan on the L.
Is there somoene specific I should talk to besides a regular salesperson? Is there anyone that you specifically recommend to complete this transaction with?
I appreciate all comments. Pleaes email replies to SVTCOBRA1998@aol.com
(Yes, I'm keeping the Cobra too
)

X-plan at Mossy?
I bought my '01 L at Mossy on July 9th and they would not honor the X-plan for me. I went through the sales manager and I got the same story that all other San diego dealers give: "Oh, we can't honor any of Ford's plans on SVT vehicles. No way!"
That pisses me off that they would now honor it after all of the hassle I went through for 2 months looking for the X-plan deal. Not to mention, I joined the eaa to qualify for the X-plan.
BTW, inspect your Lightning very closely if you buy from them. The SVT's get railed in by train and most of them have scratched front bumpers on the underside. You DON'T want to have thier wothless body shop (Mossy Nissan) fix ANYTHING on your vehicle. TRUST ME! Good luck.

The salesman I got mine from is named Julian Arzillo. Tell him I bought a red one from him on 6/9/01. I paid the X-Plan price: $28,790.32 plus tax and license. The sales manager tried to tell me the X-Plan price is $29477, but I called him on it and he gave it to me for the correct price. X-Plan is 4% above the A-Plan. Ask to see the invoice. The invoice lists the A-Plan price, just add 4% to that and you get $28,790.32. Make sure you have a 4 digit PIN for the X-Plan, they will ask you for it. I got mine from joining the EAA.
