I don't normally drive my Lightning to work, but because of the heat in the NE, I have been. My work car doesn't have ac. I leave the house telling myself to TAKE IT EASY, because, well, iam paying for it. This morning at 5:30 in the middle lane on the NJ pike @ 65/70, this "newer model" BMW comes rolling up on me with his high beams on. As he goes by, I jump next him to give a courtesy flash with my brights. As soon as I hit the brights, I see a cloud of un-burn gas, as my yuppie friend decides to nail it. WTF...f*#k-up number one, I give the Bolt a shot of gas to pull next to my new friend. Now we are ROLLING rolling down the highway!! I back out of the gas to flash my lights , as Iam next to him, as we are pushing triple digits. No response, so I say time for f*#k-up number two. I put JL ram set up to the test. As I go past the 120 mark, I open the back slider window, as my "new" friend is seeing the new and improved rear lenses, and give a come'on gesture with my hand. Long story short, I met 140 on my speedo before I hit 3000 on the odometer . So much for trying to break in my truck--Yuppie Scum. So my question is ........Has ANYBODY driven their trucks for more than a couple miles WITHOUT nailing it, and listening to that sweet blower music?

 

no, thats impossible. Never a day goes by that i don't hit it!!!!

I have that problem every day I drive on that deadly RT21 leavin from Newark because some smart *** punks just want to see if my baby is as fast as it looks(unlike there cars)......so I have no choice but to show them. Except in the RAIN, those DAMM "S" turns have got it in for me and I refuse to add my tire mark on that wall of many!

It's just like how many licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsy Pop. It cannot be done.
I do triple digits every time I get into it and I live in the twistys, not a flat straight road for 35 miles.

 

I try to lay off it.....but i can't help it! The only resolution is to tape some wood to the gas pedal

 

Don't know about tape, but that blower noise does do something for wood...

I saw ya there Gator sorry I didnt stop and chat but I was in a rush. How come I never see u in ur Own home town but I see you in mine??? Anyway the chip is great.
