0.9% financing

has anyone had any luck getting they're new L at the promo 0.9% financing?

I know people have gotten this promo rates on other SVT products in the years past, but I haven't heard anything lately....

I was told when I bought my L that the lowest you could go on specialty vehicles was 8.5%. I got gouged with a 12.9% rate but I refinanced with 8.5% and added a year. What makes me mad is that I have perfect credit.

Same here,no special rates on the lightning, was told around 12%
when i ordered the truck,i shopped for my own then when the truck came in the dealer got me 7.75 % through ford credit.
I think the threat of an outside loan makes the dealer do
wonders.

Got mine for 7.4%, for 4 years. Got $20k on my trade in, that helps a lot. Still owed 7.6K though, on the trade in that is.

My local credit union is offering 5.9% on new or refinancing. I got my L with them for 7.25%. I think I should go back and refinancel.

I brought $15K cash with me to the dealer and they would not move from 12.9%... I had however already talked with my insurance agent and she offered me 7.25% and Ford matched it... So do some homework before you give Ford more of your hard earned money...

Later, Justin

I work at Ford Credit in Canada, and all SVT Vehicles are exempt from our 'special rates'. As are Superduties, and a few other vehicles. Main reason is that they don't have to offer a cheaper rate to beat the competition, people are likely to buy that particular unit regardless of the finance rate.

Yep, was 11.5% for me. I was pissed since my credit score on all 3 major bureaus was over 700. I told the dealer to go ahead and did it since I didn't pay any contract fees. I then marched down to my credit union and got 6.9% and bi-weekly payments (which is the equivalent of about 6.22% and monthly payments, oh the joy!).

Banks are DAMN picky these days in this hell of an economy.

I financed thru Ford Credit on my 99 and GOT a rate of 11.75, was told thats the best I could get. BTW, Ford was offering 3.9 on F-150's, but they said NO-WAY on a Lightning. I financed my 01 thru Chase Manhatten Bank for 7.5, I also have pretty good credit
