Question Rear-view mirror...

Has anybody installed an auto-dim Rear-view mirror like the Lariats have? Is the wiring already there like on the key pad entry on the door?

While finding power points for my hard-wired radar detector, I found there were two other power points in the harness in the upper console...one was 5v, one was 14v and one was 12v.

I put an aftermarket auto-dim in mine. I don't remember the brand, but I think there is only one. Wiring was a pain, it needed to be hooked into power+ground (easy, right in the console), but also the backup lights. I also hooked it to the interior lights since it would immediately go full dim if I turned on the inside light at night. The connector was ugly and the wires were in a big thick insulator, so I replaced them with thin 24g wire (draw was never more than 1A during transition) and covered the connector with a piece of matching black ABS. I've been happy with it since.
