Fuel pressure gauge hook up?

I tried doing a search but found nothing. I am trying to hook up a fuel pressure gauge. In the directions is says to hook upto 1/8 NPT. Where is the NPT located on the truck? Someone showed me where it was on his SHO. It is going to look the same on the L? Is it just like a Schrader valve? Also in the directions it shows the negative wire as going from the back of the gauge connected right to the fuel pressure sending unit, yet in the directions is says to connect the negative to a good engine ground? If so what side should I ground? The gauge or the sending unit?

Thanks for any help

John

You will have to take off the schreader valve and put in a n adapter.Auto meter makes one. What brand guage is this. Mine had a harness from the sending unit to the box that comes with the guage. This is an electronic fuel pressure guage. The harness had a few wires in it that hook to the box and a couple of wires from the guage to the box. From the box was a ground and a switched positive wires. Hope this helps( confusing as helll in writing)lol Josh
PS: mine is the full sweep style guage, that is why my hook up is different!
