As you know my 2003 Lightning deal fell through with the owner changing his mind about selling so after looking recently I`ve been offered this;





Thing is, its a 1999. What`s the deal here? Are they as bad as the `internet` makes out? The truck has 23000 miles and he`s had it for 5 years. I know its kinda bling and all and I`d take some of the stuff off but really whats the minuses of a 99 Lightning compared to the 03 and 04s?

Any help appreciated guys. Its strange to think that people thousands of miles away could influence a sale in Scotland.

 

Forgot to say, he mentioned a belt squeal or `noise` from a belt but not the one on the blower. Not sure what that was all about. Still in the back of my mind to hold out for an 03 or 04 but Lighnings here are as rare as rocking horse ***** so being over fussy isn`t helping me.

 

why do many people there in the UK rice out these trucks???


as long as it's got the cruise control recall done, and the intercooler core recall done then yeah it's salvagable

 

I believe thats the way it was imported from the states. And to be honest there isn`t that many here to actually be `riced`.
