What's up with my high 14's??

Just returned from the drag strip tonight. Ran the L for the first time. I only ran in the high 14's, like 14.72 or something. Is this right? Seems like it's kinda high numbers to me. I removed the air filter and the rubber boot that goes to the air box and i still ran in the high 14's. Any idea's why??

Thanks

Ronda

Please post time slips... That is what tells you what was wrong... Was the temp. really hot and humid? I have seen these trucks bone stock run 13.5x's on stock tires... Your dyno #'s look good for a stock L but my guess is it was your first time down the track... If it was , the times aren't that bad and will get better with experience...

Later, Justin

Yes, it was HOT HOT HOT! Like in the mid 90's. I was hoping it was the air. And no, this isn't my first time down the track. I ran the L, my fiance ran it and a friend ran it. The two guys both have alot of years on a drag strip. That's what I thought, thought it was me but they ran it and it ran the same. The #'s are in the truck, I will post them tomorrow (in my pj's right now).

Also, we called you today about re burning a Diablo chip, can ya call us NOW? We're up!!

Thanks....Ronda and Greg

Wink

If the engine temp was hot and in that kind of heat, those times are not surprising. Wait until the weather starts to cool down and hang on!!
