Hi Steve,
I see that the new software gives you the ability to have a thread that stays at the top. Could we PLEASE have one that would say NEW TO THE FORUM READ THIS FIRST.
Inside it would say something like,
Everything you probably want to know has already been asked and answered. Too avoid the "Wrath of KAHN" (noelvm) and others, please try a search first. It's the fifth button across the top. You can limiit your search to the Lighting forum only which will run faster if you have a lightning question only. Also you can date limit it. We recommend going back at least a year. We also have a lightining Specifie FAQ which is being updated and will be up shortly. If you cannot find the answer to your question, then post your topic.
Thank you,

Click on Steve's message about the outage and you will see the FAQ/Search message that has been there from the beginning...
The announcements are stacked. Only the subject of the most recent announcement shows until you click the link.

Gotta agree with Noel...
No one will ever look in "Scheduled Downtime - Aug 2, 2001" or "Update your profile yet?"
How about a new sticky "Did you do a search first?"... too rude?
Anyway... most people do not know how useful the search is, maybe because other boards only save a few weeks/months worth of posts... But Steve has the mother of all servers running this board which saves everything!
