drag racing tips....
I may be taking the L to the drag strip this Friday and was wondering if you guys have had luck letting the truck shift on it's own or manually shifting it? I do plan to turn the OD off. Any other tips that you can suggest?
Thanks
Thanks
try not to let the tires spin too much and let it shift on its own in drive, just like you do on the street. I just mounted some ET streets tonight, and i will be running them tommorrow night for the first time, but so far ive been 13.18 with a 1.95 60ft on the F1s.
well I can barely get the tires to spin on the street now, then again I only have 600 miles on the clock and the altitude here is about 4000 ft above sea level. Thanks for the tip!
Do bunouts in low, race in drive. Don't try to shift it. you cant stay ahead of the truck. You will either hit the rev limiter or shift early and your times will be all over the place. Bad idea. Leave overdrive off.

yea, my truck doesnt really spin on the street either, but you just wait till you get on the track, haha. But really, the drag strip just isnt like the street, at least around here, and it will spin easier there than it will on the street.
