Thumbs up Got my X-Pipe Today!

UPS delivered my bassani x-pipe today and i am now going to wait untill ib fast does his testing at the track with the bassani cat back against his x-pipe and straight pipes to see which performs better being that both will be tested at the track the same day!I tried 5 different cat back systems on my 99 and none were faster than my stock BUT i have never ran a x-pipe or straight pipes yet so i feel i need to try this on my 01!

Cool !
I still have the stock exhaust waiting for an improvement in sound and no loss in performance.

Dan,
My friend Greg (ib fast) has the bassani cat back on right now and is going to the track to compare it against his straight pipes to see which system is faster and he will make the switch at the track which will give us a fair comparison.I am just waiting for him to post his results!

Matt, i got caught up in grand rapids at my freinds body/fab shop doing some prototype traction work and it took longer than we expected so i did not make it to stanton for t&t.Going up to the u.p. this weekend with the family so this won't happen until nex,t week.I did race at ubly the weekend before last and at thunderbird a week ago and was running 4 tengths slower in the 90 degree temps and high humidity with the bassani cat back on, compared to when you were last at stanton ,but those tracks are not the greatest. The traction grip on the street after what i did today is amazing ,can't wait to try it at the track, and it;s adjustable.By the time we got done,i would not have had time to let the exhaust cool enough to do the swap and run again.

Matt, prototype[one of a kind, at least on an L] not caltracs or even traction bars. You will see,i don't want to say much until after track testing.I did reverse the right rear shock, but that is just part of it.This particular freind has been racing for years and now builds drag cars so he knows his stuff. If it were up to him my L would have an all out drag suspension, and even though i could get this done at cost of parts, there is no way.So i am taking baby steps lol.So far everything done is reversible but you would not want to go to the roadcourse at this point in my L. No one posted numbers on the sals cal tracs until just recently or i would have went that route, only with the right shock reversed if possible with that setup. Sal would know about my set up,seeing how it was used mostly on old mopars 60,s 70,s but most others would not,if i were you i would probably get me some cal tracs and call it good. greg
