Just noticed that the Cobra R rims are the same size as Lightning rims: 18 x9.5. Why hasn't anyone put the Cobra R rims on a Lightning? Did I miss something about lugs...?
I think it might look smooth.

 

If I'm not mistaken it has to do with bolt pattern and size.

The Ranger, Explorer and Mustang all share the same.

 

Bolt pattern on the L's is 5x135mm with 14mm studs on the 00-01's and 12mm studs on the 99. I think the mustang is a 5x120mm and no idea what size lugs.

 

Figured -- It'd be cool, though.

 

I tried it, they don't fitt. You are right, the bolt pattern is different.

Hello All! I found a place right down the street from me that will put on two coats any color and clear-coat for $62.00 a rim.Also there is another place that takes L rims in swap for nickel over chrome for $800.00. Not bad but, I'd like to stay original then the swap that costs /$1200.00 no swap.Anyone interested Plastec is the company in S/Windsor Conneticut for the powder-coat and tires/plus wheels is the chrome wheel company.You can maybe do better if a bunch orders together.
